How much have we changed because of the pandemic?
December 12, 2021I dropped the weight obsession, and it worked!
March 15, 2022Your workout setting can make all the difference; it can make or break your experience. Where and how you work out can affect your commitment, motivation, and sometimes the efficacy of the exercise
Group workouts, big or small, have been out there since 1968…trust me, I looked it up 😉 It is not a trend or a fad; it is here to stay. Besides finding a workout or a fitness program you enjoy, finding your group is like finding the perfect sports bra that supports you whether you are jumping, boxing, or dancing. What makes group exercise so special? I say COMMUNITY!!
Let’s say you workout on an average 2-3 times a week where you get to see pretty much the same crowd. You share energy, sweat, squat, laugh together, and everything in between. You may even give your instructor the same dirty looks when she pushes you a little harder in class…I know you do that 😈
From that, special bonds are created, friendships are born, and a community is built. Working out becomes more of an enjoyable social activity.
Group exercise classes hold a space for people to be themselves. Over the years, I have seen people break out of their shells in class, others grow into a happier version of themselves, and there are the ones who become more confident and comfortable in their own skin. And when the group creates a safe and supporting environment for others, you will find yourself coming back again and again.
No one can deny it is super fun breaking a sweat with other people, but that is not all; the collective energy will motivate you and bring out the best in you.
Are you ready to try a class?
